Manta’s Warbox is a free sandbox game that allows you to either watch or join a gunfight. In this game, developed by Mantalice, you can either participate as a soldier or just watch from the sidelines, with moveable cameras and the ability to even alter the map.

Similar to other simulation games like Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator, you get to set up the scenario in this game. With its wide range of tools and features, you can modify everything in your own battle scenario–from the map to the look of the combatants in it.

Watch mayhem unfold, or take part in it

Since Manta’s Warbox was developed using the Unreal Engine, you can expect some smooth game mechanics from it. However, the characters in-game lack facial features and details, making them look like mannequins in motion. To make up for it, the game has some pretty accurate ragdoll physics. You will notice it whenever a character is shot, that particular part flinches or is thrown back by the impact.

In terms of customization, there is a wide selection of headwear, armor, and attachments to make each soldier in your battle scenario unique and easily identifiable. Furthermore, some of these cosmetic items in-game are patterned after real-world apparel–this includes items used by actual law enforcement units around the world. You can either have your unit wearing a uniform or make everyone look unique, it’s your choice.

Lastly, you have the option to act as a spectator or you can take control of any soldier on the battlefield. As you navigate around the map and watch the soldiers take each other out you can easily possess any of the soldiers by hovering near them and pressing the F key. This allows you to experience the action first-hand and see if you can survive the chaos you’ve created.

A fun way to pass the time

Manta’s Warbox is a good sandbox simulator game. If for example, you’d want to see one law enforcement unit face off against another on a map of your design and choosing, this game allows you to. While the game could use more features and details for a more lifelike experience, it is nevertheless a great way to pass the time.
