SongPop Free is a social musical recognition quiz game for iOS.

Think you're a music buff? With SongPop Free, you can put your knowledge to the test. You can connect with Facebook to challenge your friends to music tests. Players are timed on how quickly and accurately they can identify songs from short clips. The quicker you are, the more points you get. Tenths of a second could mean the difference between winning and losing.

You start off with six playlists in SongPop Free with the ability to "buy" more with digital coins. Of course, you can buy more in game coins with real money, although you don't have to. If you don't choose to buy in game currency, you will unlock songs and power ups slower, which can be frustrating as you'll hear the same songs over and over again.

SongPop Free rewards players with well rounded musical tastes. After each turn, each player can choose a genre to challenge the other player with. SongPop Free limits you to three genres to choose from or you can shuffle the playlists, which costs in game power ups.

One thing to note is how much SongPop Free tries to copy the now forgotten Draw Something. The menus, colors, and gameplay are all very similar with turned based gameplay and game recaps. By copying so many elements from Draw Something, SongPop Free will have to fight the same battle to remain relevant weeks and months down the line.

SongPop Free is a free, addictive music recognition game that will struggle to remain fun and challenging in the future.
