The Chosen is a multimedia application from VidAngel. It is a video streaming platform where you can watch a multi-season TV series about the life of Jesus Christ. The app is free to download and install and does not require users to create an account before streaming.

Unlike mainstream services, such as Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, The Chosen doesn't require a subscription for users to start streaming. The downside, however, is that the Jesus Christ story is the only content available in the app. There are other videos available, but all of them are related to the show. 

What is The Chosen?

The Chosen is the first-ever multi-season TV series about the life of Jesus Christ. Created outside the Hollywood system, the show tells the story through the eyes of those who knew Him. Moreover, it also explored the background stories of some of the people who received Jesus' miracles, such as Mary Magdalene, Nicodemus, Mathew, and Simon Peter. In turn, it allows the viewers to experience the miracles with them.

The app allows you to watch the series on your mobile devices.  Payment is not required to watch the episodes. However, compared to free streaming apps, it doesn't contain ads that you have to watch to access the videos. Instead, there is a pay-it-forward scheme, where people can send donations so others can watch for free. The scheme also funds the future filming of the series.

You can then click the episode you want to watch, and it will redirect you to the video player. More than online streaming, users can also download the video to watch them offline. Performance-wise, the app can rival the popular platforms with its smooth streaming with little to no lag.
