Smartphone-Based VR Platform to Watch Media Files

Plex VR takes the viewing experience of the end user to the next level. Thanks to an integration within the world of virtual reality, watching films and television programmes can now take on a sense of realism that was not previously thought to be possible.

Main Applications and Usability

Plex VR allows users to experience various forms of media in a three-dimensional reality. It supports both 180-degree and 360-degree VR formats and it is possible to watch films together with up to four different friends at the same time. Another interesting feature of this program is that it offers three unique virtual viewing environments to choose from as background settings. Voice chat is an additional capability; an excellent add-on when chatting with others.

Unfettered Viewing Options

Plex VR will require that the user owns the Google Daydream headset. It is compatible with a multitude of Android-powered phones. Additional user-friendly capabilities include sharing and saving videos, tagging specific content and even adding an avatar to compliment a file. A menu will display recently viewed files as well as new additions to the Plex collection.
