Peggo is a free application that facilitates the recording of audio files from YouTube and Soundcloud, which can then be saved to a device and accessed offline. After simply pasting a URL into the app, Peggo converts audio to an .mp3 file almost instantaneously, supporting anything from music to podcasts. There is, too, a useful search bar function.
In addition to being able to download audio at YouTube’s highest quality setting, users of Peggo can choose to convert specific sections of any given video or audio file. Peggo normalizes volume and eliminates silence during conversion, and the fact that it automatically downloads album art and artist information to your device is also a nice touch.
Peggo’s streamlined design, range of features, and whopping 1080p HD output make it a solid alternative to other video to .mp3 apps and online conversion tools. While certain restrictions are in place unless you subscribe to the Pro version, registering for an account with a valid email address removes many of these limitations.
