Follow your favorite space missions!

If you're a interested in space exploration, this NASA app for Android is a must.

This app basically allows you to follow all of NASA's missions. The main screen lists the missions you can follow, and touching any of them takes you to a description of the mission with a counter for the time elapsed since the mission started.

For each mission you can view photos, videos, check for updates and in some cases track their orbiting position. This is particularly nice if you're interested in looking for, say, the International Space Station at night, as you can see when it'll be passing over your location. It's also possible to link the app with your email, so you can send interesting bits to other people.

This isn't the flashiest application on the Android smartphone, but it's well organized, easy to navigate and effective. There are no configuration options, but it hardly needs them. It would be nice if there were more detailed information about the missions outside our orbit - you can't currently see where these space craft are in their journeys.

The NASA app for Android keeps you up to date with missions and important NASA news, alongside some neat tools.
