Lumosity: Brain Training is a freemium educational game that allows you to keep your brain active with more than 40 different mini-games. These mini-games focus on different subjects to train qualities such as problem-solving skills, memory, speed, and language skills.

Much like the Elevate app, Lumosity: Brain Training is free to play, however, advanced games and additional rounds of each day’s free games can only be obtained by purchasing a subscription. These subscriptions also unlock more in-depth performance analytics and tips to help you improve your game performance and accuracy. 

What can you expect?

Lumosity: Brain Training provides users with curated training programs that allow them to enhance any skills they want to improve or sharpen the areas they’ve already mastered. When you first open the app, you will be prompted to take an initial assessment that determines your goals and which subjects to focus on. This is meant to gauge how your scores compare to others in your age and educational attainment groups.

Once you’ve completed your assessment, you can then begin playing the app-suggested mini-games that target any areas that need improvement. The free program only limits the number of games you can play to three a day, which isn’t a lot, but the games change each day, so you can still play other titles that you weren’t able to try out on the first day.

All of the games are presented in a fun and visually appealing format, as well, which makes it great for various users to enjoy. Each game also shows a quick tutorial before each round to help you learn the ropes. Users can also access additional insights on their training results to see their strengths and weaknesses, as well as find which profiles closely match their results the most.
